LinkCom Ventures Deeper into the Medical Field, Secures High-End Magnetic Component Orders, and Commences Mass Production

Taipei, Taiwan - LinkCom (TPE 6821), discreetly entered the medical field in 2021 in collaboration with ODM giant Compal (2324) to develop medical products. Today, their first domestically produced Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) treatment system, "AblatePal," has completed medical device registration with the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA), obtained market approval, and has been included in the National Health Insurance (NHI) reimbursement, following the regulations approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. LinkCom supply of medical magnetic components has also officially entered mass production.

Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) is a highly safe minimally invasive treatment method, widely used globally for tumor ablation. Under guided imaging, an extremely fine electrode needle is precisely inserted into the tumor area. The needle emits radiofrequency radio waves, which generate heat due to ion agitation within the tissue, leading to the burning and necrosis of soft tissues in the treatment area, hence its colloquial term "radiofrequency burn."

Products intended for medical use have unique safety requirements in terms of electrical regulations and electromagnetic compatibility. Compared to general consumer electronics, medical equipment demands higher precision and reliability. Furthermore, compliance with electrical regulations like EMC/EMI indirectly raises the thresholds for material selection, manufacturing processes, and testing equipment concerning magnetic components. In the past, only a few foreign companies were capable of providing magnetic component services in the medical field. However, in a continually evolving and changing medical landscape, LinkCom Electronics, traded as LinkCom (TPE 6821), has enhanced its competitiveness through technological advancements and adapting to shifting market demands. Customer trust and support have been instrumental in driving Lianbao Electronics' entry into the medical market, contributing to the diversification of its services and products.

In addition to power magnetic components, LinkCom Electronics, traded as LinkCom (TPE 6821), has been receiving customized demands for wireless charging modules and coils for portable medical devices such as ear thermometers and ultrasound equipment. This optimization of product portfolios is expected to enhance profit margins in 2024. Consequently, the company will continue to provide a broader range of products and services tailored to customers in the medical field.
