LinkCom’s (TPE 6821, henceforth referred to as “LinkCom”) wireless charging coil adopted in General Plus’s latest automotive MCU design, helping Taiwan’s first Qi 2.2 in-vehicle wireless charging chip pass automotive-grade certification.

【New Taipei】LinkCom announced that its wireless charging coil has been successfully incorporated into General Plus’s latest automotive transmitter MCU reference design. That design is Taiwan’s first in-vehicle wireless charging control chip compliant with the Qi 2.2 standard, and it has passed AEC-Q100 automotive qualification, officially entering the high-spec global automotive supply chain.

🚗 Breaking the U.S.–China duopoly — a new choice from Taiwan
Historically, the automotive wireless charging MCU market has been dominated by two camps, the U.S. and China. General Plus’s breakthrough allows Taiwanese suppliers to break into the field for the first time, offering global automakers a higher cost-performance ratio and greater flexibility. This not only increases supply-chain diversity but also demonstrates Taiwan’s competitiveness in automotive semiconductors and control chips.

🔋 LinkCom’s dual-track advantage in magnetic components
LinkCom has many years of experience in automotive magnetic components and has accumulated rich design and mass-production expertise. The adoption of its wireless charging coil is one outcome of the company’s “dual-track transformation” strategy:
• Technical: Leveraging high-frequency magnetic component design capability to ensure high performance and stability of wireless charging modules.
• Market: Combining automotive certification experience to help new products quickly enter the automotive market and reduce integration risk.

The synergy of technical and market strengths positions LinkCom as an indispensable player in the development of next-generation in-vehicle wireless charging modules.

🌐 Looking ahead
LinkCom will continue to promote innovative applications of magnetic components in automotive and new-energy fields, and work with partners to build a more resilient supply chain. The collaboration with General Plus signals stronger influence for Taiwanese suppliers in the global automotive market and shows investors the company’s long-term value in technological breakthroughs and market expansion.
